I took my friend Bonnie to Quinish Point today, it’s about 4 miles from the hotel, just the job for energetic pooches! A great walk with views over Loch Cuin and over to Ardnamurchan Point. We saw the Coll ferry and yachts passing by and wildflowers; primroses, bluebells, cuckoo flower, wood garlic, marsh marigold and wood anemone. Bonnie and I had to sniff them all to make sure! We had crisps for lunch and saw seals sunbathing on the rocks. There were lots of sheep about making the place look untidy. Bonnie and I could have rounded them up but we had to stay on the lead all the time. Our owners are spoilsports!! Then back to the Bellachroy, Scotland’s best hotel for dogs!
Our Blog
Our First Year
On the 16th of March we’ve been here one year, yippee! Over the winter we have been busy with improvements. The bedrooms are now more comfortable with new furnishings and TV’s. A new efficient boiler has been installed, so lots of hot water and reduced fuel bills! Our new outdoor barn has gone down well with the locals. Constructed by a local craftsman, its probably the best barn in Scotland!

Rosie’s blog
I have lived on the Island of Mull for one year now and I have been very busy. I have to keep a constant watch on the premises from my specially constructed eerie in the office, and I have to keep fetching my ball because my owners keep insisting on trying to throw it away – and its MY ball. My friends Bonnie the Sheltie and Heidi the Dachshund come to visit me every so often from England.

Hi from Rosie!
Hi everyone, my name is Rosie and I am a Petite Basset Griffon Vendee, thats a complicated way of saying that I am a French Basset Hound! I moved to the Bellachroy Inn a year ago. Before that I lived in Manchester, the highlight of my day was chasing the odd grey squirrel that ventured into my garden. Now I go on bike rides to Quinnish Point and chase balls around Calgary Bay. When I get back to the Bellachroy I sit in the office with a panoramic view down to Loch Cuin and can keep an eye on everything that goes on. It was a great idea of mine to move to Mull!
Welcome!
Hi everyone, this is our brand new website.
We think its really good and hope that you do too! We wanted a website that showed the Bellachroy in a good light but without making it out to be something that it is not, after all it is a 400 year old building in a very remote area. We also want to show our guests and potential guests an idea of what there is to do in and around Dervaig and further afield. There are of course many outdoor activities on this beautiful island, ‘far from the madding crowd’.
We would really like to hear your feedback about our website so that we can make any changes for the better.
